We adore you Viacrucis Franciscan Prayer

This beautiful ejaculatory that we repeat during each of the Stations of the Cross, is actually one of the oldest devotions originating in the Franciscan family.

"And the Lord gave me such faith in the churches that he prayed and said simply:" We adore you, Lord Jesus Christ, also in all your churches throughout the world, and we bless you, because by your holy cross you redeemed the world » (Test 4-5).

Young Francis had learned a few prayers at school and in his participation in divine worship. This liturgical formula appears in the feasts of the "Exaltation" and the "Holy Cross", as well as in the Liturgy of Good Friday.

Currently used in the prayer of the Way of the Cross, in a shorter form, which says:

"We adore you, O Christ, and we bless you,
because by your cross you redeemed the world ».
