Spanish painter who worked at the courts of Philip III and Philip IV, creating portraits of the nobility and the royal family. The influence of his mentor, Bartolomé González, can be seen in the portraits of Philip III (Nelahozeves Castle, Czech Republic), Margaret of Austria, daughter of Emperor Maximilian.
