Leader: We adore you…
All: Most Holy Lord Jesus Christ, here and in all the churches throughout the world, and we bless you, for by your Holy Cross you redeemed the world.
Leader: O Sacred Banquet…
All: In which Christ is received, the memory of his Passion is renewed, the soul is filled with grace, and we are given a pledge of our future glory.
Leader: You gave them bread from heaven…
All: Which has all delight in itself.
Leader: Let us pray…
All: O God, who through this wonderful sacrament left us the memory of your Passion, we ask that you grant us such veneration of the mysteries of your Body and Blood that we may constantly feel within us the fruit of your redemption. You who live and reign, forever and ever. Amen.
FRANCISCAN APOSTOLIC HOUR
Our Father, Hail Mary, and Glory Be
Leader: Let us praise and give thanks at every moment...
All: To the Most Holy and Divine Sacrament.
(repeated three times)
INTRODUCTION
The following is an hour in which we Franciscans have an audience with our Lord Jesus Christ.
By His infinite mercy, He endeavored to conquer us, and so we commit ourselves to be holy, to allow ourselves to be worked by the Holy Spirit on this Franciscan path, until we exclaim with our hearts: "My God and all my things." We also promise to collaborate with Christ in the salvation of our fellow human beings.
And that is why we are here…
• Before the Father: Creator of man and of sister nature; our desired goal.
• Before the Son: Redeemer of humanity; faith and hope of the Christian; Supreme King of all Franciscan souls.
• Before the Holy Spirit: Sublime Sanctifier. Guide of the joyful and loving way of the Cross. Illuminator of the divine will.
We want to praise and bless you; thank you for your love and the wonder of Grace; ask you for new gifts to adorn the Church, to better serve our brothers and sisters, to inspire them to holiness.
I PRESENTATION TO THE LORD
Guide: By the action of the Holy Spirit
and incorporated into Jesus Christ
Let us glorify the Father!
All: Glory to the Father, in the Son
Through the Holy Spirit
As it was in the beginning
Let us glorify him now and forever
Through the ages. Amen.
Guide: Lord Jesus Christ
Your Secular Franciscans have committed themselves
through faith in You to live the Franciscan Charism
"We want to be instruments of your peace
We want to love before seeking to be loved."
All: we want to know Jesus Christ
we want to love Jesus Christ
we want to help Jesus Christ
we want to suffer for Jesus Christ
Guide: We want to live in Jesus Christ.
All: we want to be yours, Lord,
truly yours;
those who do not doubt,
those who do not waver,
those who do not become discouraged,
those who do not remain in mediocrity
those who abhor hypocrisy and falsehood.
Guide: We want to be heralds of the great king.
That is why, now that you are with us
in fraternal intimacy.
All: We ask you to teach us,
to form us,
to conquer us,
to encourage us,
to ignite us with greater faith, hope, and love
in our apostolic endeavors.
Guide: Lord, you are our God and Master.
All: You alone have the words of eternal life.
May we know the gift of God!
Make us your most faithful friends!
Make us apostles of your kingdom,
living members of your Holy Church.
May we feel the joy of being apostles!
Give us the strength and love,
sincerity and transparency,
to say a Peace and Good
with a clean and pure heart! May we never forget
Those you have marked as our favorites:
The poor
The sick
The marginalized
The forgotten
Because we know you "poor and crucified"
And that is enough for us!
Guide: Lord
The charism you gave us
Indicates a deep love for the cross
And upon reaching the cross
We encounter your Mother
Our Mother
Mary Most Holy
Through her we bless you
And in her intercession we seek refuge
All: Lord
We approach your Holy Cross
Adoring the mystery of your Passion
We embrace your body, shattered
by torment
And bloodied by wounds
We would like to feel
On our guilty brows
The blood that flows in torrents from your wounds.
We seek your face, stained with dust
And from your parted lips
We gather that "I thirst"
That embraces your soul as divine.
In firm vigil, we surround your most holy Cross
To accompany you in your supreme hour
To pray with you for the Church
To offer ourselves with you as victims
To share your pains and longings
To console you in agony on the cross
And console you in the anguish of your Church;
to unload our sins and ingratitude
And to pay for the sins of Christians
And of all those Franciscan souls
Who have forgotten their commitment
Who have turned their backs on you
Who have buried your gift
For this we feel responsible
We will try to change our attitude
We will be docile to your Spirit
We will return to the Franciscan ideal
We will be your instruments in our brothers and sisters.
I sing
I was discovering a different path,
I felt a total emptiness in my soul.
I don't want loves that pass and die,
today I sing only to my immortal King.
I want to be a living Gospel,
to abandon myself in your arms, Lord.
To be like a child playing or falling asleep,
while his father wraps him in love.
Leader: We want Christ to reign over us!
All: Come, Lord Jesus!
Come, Lord Jesus!
Come, Lord Jesus!
Leader: Praise Jesus Christ!
All: Praise Jesus!
Praise Jesus!
Praise Jesus!
Leader: Thy kingdom come!
All: Our Father, thy kingdom come!
SECOND BIBLE READING (Matthew 6:25-34)
Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink, or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more precious than food, and the body more than clothing? Consider the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor store away in barns, yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of much more value than they? Which of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?
And why do you worry about clothing? Consider how the lilies of the field grow. They neither toil nor spin; yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If this is how God clothes the grass, which today is in the field and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? So do not worry, saying, "What shall we eat?" or “What shall we drink?” or “What shall we wear?” The pagans pursue all these things, but your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has its own problems.
The Word of the Lord.

Make me know you, O Lord!
So that in all things I may do everything
according to your true and holy will.
Amen.

My Lord and my God,
I gave you my whole
heart and my whole body,
and I ardently long to give you more,

Let us sing to the Love of all loves, let us sing to the Lord... Glory to Jesus Christ... Heaven and earth, bless the Lord...
The blessing is received with the Blessed Sacrament.
