Saints Francis and Clare in front of Portiuncula
Saints Francis and Clare of Assisi in prayer in front of Porciuncula
This beautiful image is found inside the Convent of the Capuchin friars church (Iglesia Santo Ángel), and represents Saints Francis and Clare of Assisi sitting on a blanket, on the ground and about to share their meager food. Before doing so, the brothers pray and thank God for the gifts received for them, and for the other two brothers who accompany them. The image represents one of the strengths in the Franciscan way of life: life in fraternity.
This work corresponds to the 20th century, and was made by an unknown artist.
