Saint Francis of Assisi celebrated Easter by contemplating life, giving thanks to God, and welcoming death. He believed that resurrection was a reality that gave hope and light to his life.

Saint Francis of Assisi is considered the "Easter Saint". He is one of the most revered religious figures in Roman Catholic history. He is the patron saint of animals and ecology.
