All Saints of the Franciscan Orders

On November 29, 1223, Pope Honorius III approved the definitive Rule of Friars Minor (known as the Bull Rule, because it was approved and confirmed with the bull "Solet annuere"). The original parchment is preserved in Assisi, in the chapel of the relics of the Basilica of San Francesco. This way of life according to the Holy Gospel, approved by the Church, has been a source of inspiration for men and women, of all kinds and conditions, who throughout eight centuries have sought to follow, like Francis, the holy Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ in fraternity. On this day when Francisc and his brothers received the approval of the Rule, the feast of all the saints of the Order is celebrated. The Church recognizes them as the brothers who most luminously speak to us of God.
We pray, Lord, for the intercession of these holy brothers of ours.
