Entrance to the lower church

Saint Franis Basilica, in Assisi is formed by two complexes: the inferior church, and the upper church. The lower area is the oldest, and dark of the compound, and it surrounds the tomb of our father Saint Francis. The upper church is larger, filled with light, and it contains the stunning Cimbaue's frescoes.
